Mark your calendar for NILI summer 2013. NILI Summer Institute will be June 17-28, 2013. Week 3 Teaching Practicum will be June 28-July 2, 2013.

Lushootseed Immersion Week Program 2012

The Northwest Indian Language Institute and the University of Oregon will be offering a one week Lushootseed full-immersion course August 8 – 15, 2012.  Students will be fully immersed in Lushootseed (Puget Salish) for seven days.  All participants will be staying on the same floor of a dormitory, living, eating, and sleeping Lushootseed.  Classes will include art, games, stories, and more.  No prior knowledge of Lushootseed is necessary. Dr. Janne Underriner received the Research Innovation Award on June 1, 2011 at a ceremony held for the RIA awardees in the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art.
