NILIA special focus this year is the interweaving of language and ecology, and how languages present teachings about the natural world. A Traditional Ecological Knowledge class and workshop will discuss the important ways these teachings are healing. We’ll have the opportunity to look at science and legends associated with plants of the Northwest and have hands-on activities with tribal experts.
