This course will explore ideas of language revitalization with a focus on encouraging students to develop their thoughts about what language revitalization is, their place within it, their communities’ revitalization histories and futures, and overcoming barriers to language use. Through class discussions and creative activities students will share their ideas and feelings about language revitalization and the concepts and methods they are engaging with in other NILI courses.
